New Whites Tasting

Wednesday February 22, 2012 - 6:30-9:00pm
We all know about riesling, semillon, chardonnay, the tsumani of sauvignon blanc and the plethora of pinot gris/grigio.  But what is in the next fashion wave - will it be arneis, cortese, fiano, garganega, gruner veltliner, prosecco, pinot blanc or vermentino?

The tasting will focus on the pioneering Australian producers of these new wave varieties with a sprinkling of wines from their homeland.
Maximum 16 places - bookings essential
Cost: $99 inc GST

Introductory Wine Appreciation Course (1 Day)

Saturday March 17, 2012 - 10:30am- 4:30pm
The morning session covers the Back to Basics segment from the evening course: What is wine? How do we taste? How do we know a 'good' wine and detect wine faults? What are generic styles and varietal wines all about? A break for lunch at your own expense, then a close look at the classic white and red varietals to explore flavour and style. Not quite as in-depth as the 4 evening course but still a great starter course. A selection of quality cheeses and bread are served to accompany the wines during the day.
Maximum 16 places - bookings essential
Cost: $195 inc GST
Bookings online here or phone 02 9552 2366 for more information
